Tailor-Made Travel
All our travel arrangements are made on a private and individual basis
to allow you complete freedom in choosing an itinerary suitable to
you. All itineraries, both within the brochure and on our website,
are designed simply to give you a flavour of what is available and
can be tailor made to suit your preferences. We
can make reservations for international flights up to 11 months in
advance, and Falklands ground arrangements up to 12 months in advance.
Accuracy
All information was correct at the time of going to print. We will
endeavour to advise you of any changes that have occurred, at the
time of making your booking or prior to your arrival in the Falklands.
Travel in the Falkland Islands
The Falklands are off the beaten track and whilst suppliers all endeavour
to supply a high degree of service, weather does play a large role
in the smooth running of your programmes. Domestic flights in particular
can, on occasion, be delayed. ITT will do their utmost to ensure the
continued smooth running of your programme but an adaptable attitude
and degree of flexibility may sometimes be required – it is
all part of the adventure!
ITT cannot accept any financial liability for any costs incurred in
having to make changes to your itinerary due to weather or other force
majeur delays. We recommend that you have adequate travel insurance
to cover such incidents.
Special Requests
Accommodations outside of Stanley provide catering on a set menu basis
(as opposed to a la carte) and it is therefore recommended that travellers
advise ITT in advance of any special dietary requirements or food
allergies.
Insurance
We strongly recommend that at the time of making your booking you
supply yourself/your client with travel insurance to cover cancellation
charges, luggage claim, medical expenses, accident and others. Immigration
policy into the Falklands requires that all visitors supply proof
of medical insurance, which includes cover for medical evacuation,
prior to being issued with a Visitors Permit.
Payment
Terms A non-refundable deposit of GBP 200.00
(or USD or Euro equivalent) per person is required when we confirm
your reservations. The balance becomes due 60 days prior to your
arrival in the Falkland Islands.
Payment Methods
Payment may be made either in GBP, USD or Euros (at the prevailing
rate of exchange) by the following methods: Cheque: in GBP, drawn
on a United Kingdom bank, made payable to International Tours &
Travel Limited and sent to our office in the Falkland Islands. A
bank charge of 0.25% (with a minimum charge of GBP 3.00) is levied
on cheques and should be added to the total amount due.
Telegraphic/Bank Transfer: to our account with
Standard Chartered Bank in the Falkland Islands or through an account
in the United Kingdom (account details on request). A bank charge
of between GBP 6.00 and GBP 35.00 or USD or Euro equivalent, depending
on to which bank the transfer is made, is levied on transfers and
should be added to the total amount due.
Credit Card: Master Card or Visa. A bank charge of 6.00%
is levied on transactions and will be added to the total amount
due.
Please note that all charges are levied by
the bank and not by International Tours & Travel Ltd. The client
is responsible for all bank charges.
Cancellation Policy
The following fees will be charged based on the date of receipt
of written notification of cancellation of booking.
If cancelled: Penalty:
After confirmation of reservations but more than 60 days prior to
arrival: Deposit forfeited
Between 30-60 days before arrival: 50% of cost of itinerary
Between 14-30 days before arrival: 75% of cost of itinerary Between 0-14 days before arrival: 100%
of cost of itinerary
